Paint a Wish
What is Paint a Wish?
Volunteers
teach
simple art techniques and do crafts with children with medical conditions with a group on a weekly basis. Volunteers provide
friendship
and a
creative
outlet for these precious children through their unique trials.
Activities: We have weekly one-on-one meetings between individuals and families, and a semester social activity for all the children and their families.
Volunteer Commitment: We have a place for any level of commitment, and art experience is NOT necessary! Come join us!
How do I get involved?
This program may require a background check from the community service provider. Then contact the program directors at paintawish@byu.edu .
Please complete this mandatory 20 minute child protection training before you begin working with the children.
Experiences
Paint a Wish is such a great program! We have awesome leaders and we work with some incredible kids! One of my favorite experiences was a Halloween party we threw for the children and their families. It was so cute to see the kids interact with each other and have so much fun! They got to play games, do some crafts, and dance! They were so happy! It was so rewarding to just be around them and see their smiles. I'm grateful to be part of such an awesome program like Paint a Wish!
