Digital Inclusion
What is Digital Inclusion?
Digital Inclusion works to remove the barriers that stand in the way of anyone getting online. The main barriers are:
access to internet
access to technology
skills to know how to use those devices.
United Way of Utah County’s Digital Inclusion team has worked to create different programs to help overcome those barriers. The “Adopt a Computer” program allows patrons to gain access to a computer provided by United Way by learning about how to use a computer.
There are several Computer Help labs around the county where people come to learn basic computer skills from volunteers.

How do I get involved?
Y-Serve is working with United Way to provide volunteers for these help labs! It is an excellent opportunity for anyone who knows the basics of computers and wants to teach others. If you would like to get involved, contact digitalinclusion@byu.
